Smart Buildings

Definition of "SMART"

"A building or an entire development that allows you to generate additional revenue streams and reduce operational costs whilst providing your tenants with better services, based on using the latest IP technologies". Many companies talk about 'Smart Buildings', 'Convergent Technologies' and so on. Upon closer inspection, we find that definitions vary widely. Some vendors use the word 'Smart' to describe a simple Triple Play system - Voice, Data & Video. However, CDN's definition is far deeper and more encompassing. To us, a Smart Building or a Smart City presents a complete convergence of various IT and building technologies based on IP Protocol Suite.
